Des nouvelles de "La cours Saint-Louis" (LAKOU Saint-Louis) à Haïti - News from "La cours Saint-Louis" (LAKOU Saint-Louis) in Haïti
Le Frère Joseph Bellanger nous envoie ces nouvelles concernant toutes les activités réalisées par les Frères et les Anciens Elèves de Saint Louis de Gonzague (FASLG) depuis le 12 janvier. Les terrains de l'Institution Saint-Louis de Gonzague accueillent encore beaucoup de familles, bien que normalement elles devraient, peu à peu, laisser place à l'organisation de classes pour accueillir les élèves présents encore à Port-au-Prince et qui attendent la reprise des cours.
Activités de la FASLG depuis le 12 janvier :
1) Transport de blessés dans différents Centres Médicaux.
2) Installation de La Fédération Internationale de la Croix Rouge.
3) Installation d'une Unité de Traitement d'Eau (Capacité de 80,000 gallons par jour).
4) Logistique pour les médecins arrivant de l'étranger.
5) Fourniture de carburant à des Centres de Soins et Médias de la Capitale.
6) Récupération des archives de l'Archevêché de Port-au-Prince en coordination ave le CHF.
7) Levée de déblais de Saint-Louis, Rue du Centre en coordination avec OIM.
8) Ramassage de détritus sur "LAKOU Saint-Louis" en coordination avec Haïtian Project.
9) Support à la Communauté FIC pour l'évacuation et la gestion du Cam-pus de Delmas en coordination avec : la Mairie de Delmas la Police Nationale d'Haïti, l’Armée Américaine, Haïtian Project, l’Opération Men nan Men, Médecins Sans Frontières.
10) Coordination avec la Mairie de Delmas et le Catholic Relief Services pour la relocalisation des gens se trouvant sur le campus de Delmas.
11) Distribution de nourriture dans différents quartiers de la Capitale en coordination avec les Volontaires de Opération Men nan Men.
12) Création d'une crèche sur le campus de Delmas en coordination avec les Volontaires de l’Opération Men nan Men, Haïtian Project et Saint-Louis de Gonzague.

Brother Joseph Bellanger sends us news concerning all the activities realised by the Brothers and the Old Boys of Saint Louis de Gonzague (FASLG) since the 12th January. The grounds of the Institution Saint-Louis de Gonzague still receives many families, although normally they should be, little by little, giving place to the organisation of classes to receive the students still present at Port-au-Prince and who are waiting for the courses to re-open.
Activities of the FASLG since the 12th January:
1) Transporting the wounded to different Medical Centres.
2) Installation of La Fédération Internationale de la Croix Rouge.
3) Installation of a Unité de Traitement d'Eau (Capacity of 80,000 gallons per day).
4) Logistics for the Doctors arriving from abroad.
5) Supplying of fuel to Centres de Soins et Médias de la Capitale.
6) Retrieving the archives of the Archdiocese of Port-au-Prince in coordination with the CHF.
7) Clearing the rubble of Saint-Louis, Rue du Centre in co-ordination with OIM.
8) Collection of rubbish on "LAKOU Saint-Louis" in co-ordination with the Haïtian Project.
9) Support to the FIC Community for the evacuation and the management of the Cam-pus of Delmas in co-ordination with : the City Council of Delmas, the National Police of Haïti, the American Army, Haitian Project, the Operation Men nan Men, and the Médecins Sans Frontières.
10) Co-ordination with the City Council of Delmas and the Catholic Relief Services for the relocation of people is found on the campus of Delmas.
11) Distribution of food in the different areas of the Capital in co-ordination with the Volontaires de l’Opération Men nan Men.
12) Creation of a crèche on the campus of Delmas in co-ordination with the Volontaires de l’Opération Men nan Men, Haitian Project and Saint-Louis de Gonzague.

Brother Louis Balanant and I are making preparations for our journey to Haïti, on the 8th of March. We hope to come back with some precisions on the way we could help them. The gifts are received by our different NGO’s. They will be welcome in view of the reconstruction. The needs will be so great!
