dones.
As the Chapter is approaching, I request prayers
from all those men and women who want to join the Mennaisian Family as Brothers
or Laity.
This Chapter is an opportunity for a new outpouring of the Spirit for all the Brothers, but also for the whole Mennaisian Family.
In fact, what are we looking for in organizing such an Assembly, other than listening with more generosity to the Spirit so that he may fill us with his gifts?
We are not saints, we have still much to do to respond to what God expects of us, we need to humbly listen to the "breeze" blowing in our hearts quiet and loving, open to sharing with our Brothers, attentive to the calls of the Church and the needs of the world, especially the world of youth.
Shall we allow this opportunity to pass without challenging us? If we do not get up to serve God and our Brothers especially the most humble, shall we be faithful to Love who called us? Let us understand this voice which exhorts us: "The Lord is near. I sincerely trust that... you will get up and walk with renewed vigour ... and arouse each other to use henceforth the days you still have to spend on earth to sow generously so as to harvest abundantly in heaven. " (Jean-Marie de la Mennais)
Father Jean-Marie de la Mennais, Father Gabriel Deshayes, in heaven with God, you pray for us, you love us as fathers with even greater ardour than when you were among your Brothers in the early days of the Congregation; we are your children. We ask you to pray even more when the Chapter will meet in Ploërmel, and to come to make us understand the voice of the Spirit who, through us, wants to revive the charism he has given you so that children and youth are saved.
May God and His Blessed Mother help us.
