(cf.
"Jóvenes y Vocaciones", n° 14, mayo 2011, p.) Enseñémosles a rezar
Hermanos.
"The
strength of the response of St. Peter to the Divine Master:" Yes, Lord,
you know I love you, "(Jn 21:15), is the secret of a life given and lived
to the full, and thus filled with profound joy," said the Pope on this
Sunday, April 29, the day of prayer for vocations. No doubt we pray that young
people may hear God's call. We must continue to pray for this. But we have to
do it with faith. It is prayer offered in faith that is heard by the Lord!
"Lord, increase our faith."
Then we must also reach out to young people. One of the greatest services we have to render to those we have the opportunity to meet, with whom many of us live in the heart of our educational Centres is to show them the ways that lead to interiority. The Lord wants his Word to be heard in the secret of the heart, where, however, so many other words infiltrate, so much so that many young people no longer know how to find the path to their own interiority. We will then have to guide them to meet Christ who awaits them there. We must believe that God's Word is able to touch these young people more than we imagine. Jesus wants to engage with these young people. He loves them, and carries them in his Heart. Do we doubt this? Let us then offer them the Word of their Friend: "The young people under our care expect us to invite them to a great spiritual adventure, an adventure that finds its rise in the personal encounter of Jesus and is capable of transforming the life. "(See "Youth and Vocations", No. 14, May 2011, p.). Let us teach them to pray a silent and quiet prayer, a real encounter with Him who remains in the depths of their being.
