SI TU SAVAIS LE DON DE DIEU.- IF YOU KNEW THE GIFT OF GOD - SI CONOCIERAS EL DON DE DIOS
appels" (n°18).

Just like the Samaritan woman at the well, humanity today also needs to
hear the words of Jesus: "If you
knew the gift of God" (John 4: 10), for these words to arouse the deep
desire for salvation that is in every man: "Lord, give me this water, so that I may not be thirsty" (Jn 4: 15) ." This is
the conclusion of the Instrumentum Laboris of the Synod of Bishops on the New Evangelization which will open in
Rome on 7 October next.
With Jean-Marie de Lamennais and Gabriel Deshayes, we have powerful models of evangelization whose deep desire was to make these words of Jesus heard by the largest number of children and adults thirsty for living water.
There is no cause more beautiful than to cross borders to meet those men and women that Jesus seeks to touch with his love. All around the world are found the "Samaritans" who are waiting without knowing to meet the "Master" at the "well" of their daily existence, where each day, they look for- without finding it- the water that gives life.
"We know, writes the General Chapter 2012, that the youth ministry is essentially a vocational ministry, and that God needs us," community of the called "to communicate to others his calls" (No. 18)
